Molly's Vision RVFM Barn Photo

Molly Eglin, executive director, had a dream-a dream of converting the aging Barn on Old Spanish Trail. The Barn had been a landmark in the Rincon Valley for nearly 100 years and once in Molly's hands, it magically transformed into a thriving "community gathering place" for the Rincon Valley and surrounding Tucson area. Molly's love of gardening and  people combined with her education in agriculture to make her dream a true possibility.

After nearly two years of logistical planning and sheer persistence,  the Rincon Valley Farmers' Market opened its doors in October 2001 with the first annual Tomato Festival. Molly opened the market as a non-profit organization, a project of the Rincon Institute . A portion of the proceeds benefits the  Vail School District. The market is predominately volunteer-based and has become a lively community gathering place.

The RVFM is located in the historic barn of the Rocking K Ranch.  After 50 years, the big green and white barn has become an icon in the Rincon Valley. Visit the Vail Feed Store at 11366 S. Vail Conn Rd. Vail, AZ 85641 (520)-762-5301 to hear more about growing up in the area. Nearly everyone who has visited nearby  Colossal Cave  or driven along Old Spanish Trail on the Southeast side of Tucson has admired the  stately building. Host to may different vendors and activities, the Barn creates comraderie in the area and offers an array of non-commercial goods.

Molly hopes the Rincon Valley Farmers' Market inspires you to treat yourself to a taste of the country life. Visit us every Saturday for organic produce, baked goods, soaps, jewelry, custom ironworks, handcrafted items, gifts, music, food and more! Bring out the whole family. Check out our monthly flyer for weekly events and times.
