In May, the Rincon Institute hosted its first Saguaro Blossom Celebration to raise money and awareness for the Rincon Institute’s conservation efforts. The event, which attracted over 60 people, raised $2500 for the Institute and was a wonderful community gathering event.

Despite gale force winds and warm temperatures, longtime RI supporters as well as new Rincon Valley residents came together to celebrate the miraculous event of blooming Saguaros. The Street Minstrels, a local Tucson band, serenaded the guests who also participated in a silent auction and raffle. The event was held at the Rincon Valley Farmers’ Market barn. Thanks to everyone who helped organize the event especially the sponsors of the event: Long Realty, Long Mortgage, Diamond Ventures, and Coyote Creek. An extra special thanks to all who attended!
