This presentation by Jillian Cowles will focus on the surprisingly wide array of poisonous (including venomous) animals commonly found in the Rincon Valley.
These include the widely known and over-feared rattlesnakes on down to the much overlooked Hemileuca caterpillars, poisonous toads and delicate velvet ants.

Presented by Sandy Reith, Environmental Education Program Coordinator, Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation.

Learn more about insects commonly found in your home or backyard in a presentation by Dr. Carl Olson, University of Arizona entomologist. Dr. Olson will provide interesting facts about bugs of the Sonoran Desert, reasons why they are in your house, and what to do if you encounter them.
